PCSO busts 716-pound marijuana load

PRESIDIO COUNTY – A Presidio County Deputy Sheriff discovered 716 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop last week in Presidio, according to the sheriff’s office Facebook page. A 2013 Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer was taken to the Port of Entry for inspection after being pulled over by a deputy. At the inspection station, it was discovered the trailer had a false floor concealing the marijuana. The driver and trailer were transported to the Presidio Border Patrol Station where agents assisted in removing the marijuana from the false floor. The case has been turned over to ICE for federal prosecution.
