Hotel Paisano plans holiday dinner, concert

MARFA – The Hotel Paisano and Jett’s Grill will host a Holiday Dinner and Concert as part of “Christmas at the Hotel Paisano, a GIANT Holiday Weekend.”

The dinner will take place in the hotel’s ballroom on Saturday, December 8. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

Guest Chef Sara North will return to Marfa with a wonderful holiday menu. Chef North was guest chef for Jett’s Grill at the 2018 Agave Dinner at the Hotel Paisano, where a sold-out crowd was hosted.

Chef Sara North is from Lubbock, Texas and has been cooking most of her life. North’s love of cooking started at a very young age while making bread and pastries from scratch with her mother. Sara’s first position as chef was in the tiny kitchen of Manna Bread and Wine in Lubbock.

In 2007, North decided to combine learning with travel and enrolled at scoula Leonardo da Vinci in Rome, Italy, where she learned both Italian and Italian cuisine.

Chef Sara will create a five-course holiday feast that will be paired with holiday cocktails and wines.

Molly Cummings, of District Distilling, will be providing Checkerbark Gin for the pre-dinner holiday cocktail. Checkerbark Gin is distilled in Washington D.C. from juniper berries grown and harvested in the Davis Mountains of West Texas.

Between courses, guests will be entertained by Big Night Quartet from Austin.
