PRESIDIO — Santa Claus is coming to the border.
Presidio’s annual Christmas parade and tree lighting will take place on Monday, December 10 beginning at 6pm.
The parade and tree lighting date changed because inclement weather is expected for this Friday as originally planned. Monday’s forecast is for much better weather.
The parade route will be along O’Reilly Street from the Presidio Aquatic Center to St. Francis Plaza where the lighting of the community Christmas tree will be held. Presidio residents are invited to decorate their vehicle or float with holiday decorations and lights. Please contact City Hall to register your float.
Participants should be in line by the Presidio Aquatic Center before 5:30 p.m.
The tree lighting ceremony will follow the parade. Complimentary snacks will be provided for those in attendance. Toys and candy will be given to the children and children will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa Claus.
