ALPINE – On Wednesday, November 28 at approximately 1:45 pm, Alpine Police Officers responded to a report of a deceased person located on the railroad tracks near the train depot in Alpine. The person appeared to be a transient or train rider.
The person was later identified as John Oliver Brown, 55 year old male from Hookset, New Hampshire.
The man was witnessed attempting to board a west bound freight train. The death was deemed an accident caused by blunt force trauma to the person. Hookset, New Hampshire Police Department assisted Alpine Police Department in notifying the family.
