MIDLAND – Several members of the Presidio High School Blue Devil Band competed against students from 36 of the regional schools back in December & achieved the honor of being selected for the ATSSB Region 6 Band Festival.
They attended the All-Region Clinic & Concert on January 18-19 at the Wagner- Noel Performing Arts Center in Midland. The audience for the concert included many Presidio families. Performing in the Symphonic Band were Michael Hernandez(9)* & Octavio Padron(9)* on Tuba and Adrian Escontrias(11) on percussion. Performing in the Concert Band were Jamila Tibayan (9) on clarinet, Loven Omar(9) & Hector Reyes(9) on the alto saxophone, Isabel Subia(10) on the trumpet, and Jose Armendariz(10) on percussion. *These students also advanced to the Area Band contest in Levelland on January 12.
