Leonardo Uribe is this month’s student of the month at Presidio High School

Leornardo Uribe, a senior student at Presidio High School is this month’s student of the month.

It is his goal to graduate with the highest standard of academic achievement. He is determined to continue his studies in a prestigious university and earn a bachelor’s degree in computer Engineering.

Out of 94 current senior students, he ranks in second place.

He has already completed 19 dual credit classes corresponding to 52 credit college hours and has passed the CLEP (College Level Examination Program) test for Spanish and Macroeconomics.

He’s the founder of the PHS Math Tutoring Club

Academic awards received include Most outstanding student in: Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, and IPC.

School recognitions received are: Representing our district on a National Level for Rocketry and, representing our district on a State level (TAME) Texas Alliances for Minorities in Engineering.

For twoyears he was the team captain for Formula 1 in Schools where they participated and competed in the state level competitions.

He has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years. Earned over 90 hours of voluntary community service in: Presidio Blood Drive, Presidio Art Festival, Relay for Life, and American Cancer Society.

He has also been a member of the Presidio High School Marching and Concert Bands for the past four years.
