Francisca Hernandez Madrid, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Odessa.
Visitation, prayer service, and the Rosary were Tuesday, April 2 at Martinez Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, April 3 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa.
Burial will be at noon today, Thursday, April 4 in Desert Hills Cemetery in Presidio.
Mrs. Madrid was born December 17,1929 in Loving, New Mexico to Catarino and Juliana Hernandez.
Francisca married the love of her life, Manuel Perea Madrid, on December 23, 1945 in Presidio.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Manuel Madrid; her parents, Catarino Hernandez and Juliana Vizcaino Hernandez; grandson Marco Antonio Vizcaino; brothers Marine Hernandez, Jose Torres, Bonifacio Torres; and a sister, Trinidad Madrid.
Francisca is survived by her children: a son, Reymundo and Mary Madrid; daughters Maggie Gonzalez, Dora Flores, Emma Madrid, Consuelo and Florencio Molinar and Francisca Fuentes; brother Mayo and Frances Hernandez; her niece, Guadalupe Madrid; and 25 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home of Odessa, Texas.
