ALPINE – A 70-year-old woman from San Marcos was killed in a pedestrian-vehicle accident in Alpine on Tuesday morning, according to the Alpine Police Department.
Police identified the woman as Cindy Lou Wilmore.
She was traveling by Amtrak to her destination in New Mexico and
had exited the passenger train while it stopped at the Alpine depot when the accident occurred at about 8:30am at the intersection of Holland Avenue and Sixth Street.
Wilmore was transported by West Texas Ambulance to Big Bend Regional Medical Center, and she was pronounced deceased at 9:25am.
Police gave no details about the driver of the vehicle.
