Quintana

William Vasquez Quintana of Marfa, beloved father, brother and grandpa, was called home on May 3, 2019.

Services will be held at 10am Friday, May 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa.

Wille, as all his friends knew him, was born in Marfa on August 11, 1940 to Margarita Vasquez and Mateo Quintana. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Armida Brito Quintana, and his sister, Magge Lee Lujan; and a brother, Ricardo Quintana.

Willie is survived by his brothers, Mateo Quintana of Marfa, Jimmy and Patsy Lujan of Del Rio, Antonio and Cecilia Lujan and Armando Lujan, all of El Paso; his four children, William Quintana Jr. and Angie of Port Orchard, Washington, and Cesare and Wesley Quintana of Marfa, and daughter Bella Villanueva of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and his very special friend Ms. Delia Granado.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. His hobbies included doing research of the tri-county area, and his favorite was being on the Marfa radio. He was a car salesman for many years and made many friends.

Wille requested for everyone to wear bright colors for his funeral. Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Funeral West by Chris Lujan, his beloved nephew.
