ALPINE — Big Bend Regional Hospital District is now enrolling eligible residents into its Presidio-Brewster County Indigent Health Care Program. The district was established in 1991 to provide health care for needy county residents in Presidio and Brewster Counties. The Health Care Program provides coverage for emergency and preventative medical needs, prescription drugs, and medical supplies for eligible residents.
“Clients who have enrolled in the Health Care Program are able to improve their quality of life and take care of medical issues,” said Buddy Cavness, Hospital District board chair. “It is a huge relief for those struggling with medical conditions, but unsure of how they can pay for the medical care they need.”
You must be a resident of Presidio or Brewster County and meet certain income and asset requirements. For more information and to be pre-screened for eligibility, please call 432-837-7051 or visit www.bbrhd.com for more information. The district’s patient advocates will help applicants through the application process and determine eligibility for assistance programs.
