Noon Year’s Eve bash to take place at Marfa Public Library December 28

MARFA — The Marfa Public Library will host its annual Noon Year’s Eve party from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 28, in the Community Room.

The midday get-together provides local kids ages 13 and under — who may hit the hay before the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve — a special way to ring in the new year.

“Noon Year’s Eve is one of our favorite events,” said Library Director Nicki Ittner. “It’s a way of giving kids their own celebration and marking the new year — a little early.”

Noon Year’s Eve is free and open to the public. A balloon drop will take place at noon followed by a glow party. Ittner said more fun activities and black lights will be in effect to help ring in the new year.

“Our Noon Year’s Eve party includes all our favorites — a balloon drop, sparkling juice toast, tattoo parlor, resolution wall and crafts — plus this year, we’re adding a glow party after the balloon drop,” said Ittner.
