She was born in El Paso on February 12, 1968, attended school in El Paso and graduated from Andress High School. She continued her education at Sul Ross State University, graduating with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education. Charlotte went on to teach elementary school for 30 years in El Paso, Marfa and Alpine.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, William C. “Chuck” Wilson; daughters Leigh Christine and Nicole Elise; as well as her parents, Beverley and Paul Mueller; brother Paul; mother-in-law Karron Wilson; sister-in-law Tiffany; nephew Trip; her brother- and sister-in-law Troy and Erica Wilson; niece Cooper and nephew Cade Wilson; sister-in-law Kari Vasquez; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

After retiring, she enjoyed working on her home in Alpine and serving as clerk of session for the First Presbyterian Church, along with spending time with her beloved friends in Alpine gardening, painting, flower arranging for Double K flowers, working with wood, and being active in EP Retired Teachers Assoc.

Charlotte loved life, loved being a mother and wife, and she loved being a daughter and sister.

She will also be missed by her community and many close friends in Alpine, her childhood friends in El Paso, and everyone who interacted with her.

A service for Charlotte will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Alpine at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas, the Ronald McDonald House, or a charity of your choice in Charlotte’s name would be appreciated.

Charlotte adored the yellow poppies on the Franklin Mountains. If you wish, we ask you to plant similar golden poppies in her memory in late October.  She would love that this might remind you of her during their next bloom.
