Maverick Bank has appointed Stacey Wood as senior vice president of commercial and agricultural banking. In her new role, Wood will work alongside Big Bend regional president Michael Eisenwine to support local businesses, ranchers, farmers, and families across West Texas.
“Stacey embodies the values that define Maverick Bank: expertise, integrity, and a genuine commitment to community,” said Eisenwine. “Her depth of knowledge in ag lending and her heart for West Texas make her an exceptional fit for our team and the customers we serve.”
Wood has 15-plus years of experience, beginning her career in agricultural lending with the USDA Farm Service Agency. During her time there, she was named the Texas Farm Loan Officer Trainee of the Year. She has a reputation for developing lending solutions to help customers navigate their financial needs.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Wood holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in animal science. Her professional expertise and academic background in agriculture will focus on serving the region’s agricultural and commercial economy.
Wood, her husband, Kit, and their three children—Leddy Jo, Ollie May, and Jack Brucks—live at Cathedral Mountain Ranch. The family is involved in ranching and is connected to the local agricultural community.
Maverick Bank, which was formerly Fort Davis State Bank, operates throughout the Big Bend region and West Texas. It provides consumer, commercial, and agricultural banking services.
