Gabriel Modesto Tavarez, 5 years old, of Fort Davis, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on December 8, 2020, in Odessa, Texas, to Margarita Modesto Tavarez. Gabriel grew up in Fort Davis. He is survived by his mother, brothers, sister, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Mobile Mortician of Texas, in Fort Davis on Friday, January 9, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The funeral services will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Davis, on Saturday, January 10, at 1p.m. Family visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m.
