Hotel restorations moving forward
To our neighbors in Alpine and Fort Davis,
We know many of you have been waiting patiently to see the restoration of the Holland Hotel, the Maverick Inn, and Hotel Limpia begin. We’re grateful to announce that the work is finally moving forward.
It took longer than we hoped to reach this point. Over the past few years, we’ve heard from many of you who care deeply about these places, and we want you to know that we’ve heard that message clearly. We’re grateful for the patience the communities of Alpine and Fort Davis have shown.
These hotels have been part of the life of their towns for generations. For nearly a century, the Holland, the Maverick, and the Limpia have stood along the highways and town squares of Alpine and Fort Davis, welcoming travelers after long miles on the road. Over time they have become part of the landscape of daily life. We understand that they are more than businesses; they are part of the communities.
Our goal is to restore these properties thoughtfully and return them to the place they have historically held in the life of Alpine and Fort Davis.
We’re excited to start construction, but realistic that this is only another beginning. The restorations themselves will also take time, and we know we’ll run into unexpected obstacles along the way. Our goal is to minimize disruptions and keep the properties open wherever possible.
When complete, each hotel will include restaurants and bars open to the public, along with spaces for events, live music, and community gatherings. We hope these hotels will once again serve not only as places for travelers to stay, but as welcoming centers of town life.
We know the delays have not been easy, and we’re grateful for the patience you’ve shown while we worked to reach this point. West Texas has always been a place that rewards persistence, and we’re excited to finally begin the work of restoring these historic hotels so they can continue serving these communities for many decades to come.
