MAINTENANT, Marfa’s boxing and gallery space, is presenting What Are You Fighting For, a group exhibition that asks artists to take a position—responding visually, materially, conceptually or textually through resistance, care, urgency, refusal, discipline or conviction.
Over 40 artists from across the United States, as well as France and Mexico, are included. The result is a dense, multi-voiced exhibition spanning painting, sculpture, text-based works, video, and sound presented across MAINTENANT’s spaces.
The exhibition opens Saturday, April 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a sunset performance by Tan Cologne at 8 p.m.
