Presidio High School Seeking Scholarship Donors

PRESIDIO – The Presidio community is encouraged to become a donor for the annual Presidio ISD Local Scholarships Program, seeking to support Presidio High School graduates who are headed onto college or technical school. This year approximately 95 PHS seniors will walk the stage, with approximately 70% headed on to some type of higher education. The goal of the Presidio Local Scholarships Program is to be able to award at least one scholarship to every student headed on to further study. Traditionally, several Presidio businesses, organizations, families and individuals have generously donated thousands of dollars in scholarships, dating back to the 1970’s. With the Presidio Education Foundation’s creation, more emphasis will be placed on scholarship development, possibly leading to a permanent scholarship endowment. This year’s campaign will focus on making contact with those who have not previously donated, and to especially develop a network with previous graduates that will become the basis for continuing Presidio Local Scholarships well into the future. If you would like to become a scholarship donor, log onto presidioef.org and click on the “Donate” button. Locally you may also receive a registration packet from John Ferguson, either at Presidio High School or by calling 432-661-0600. Please join this effort and help us show our youth that we value their higher education!
