MARFA – “RBG,” the feature length documentary on Ruth Bader Ginsberg, which is receiving much acclaim nationwide, is coming to Marfa during its first run in theaters. It will screen at the Crowley Theater on Tuesday, June 26 at 7:30pm as a part of the “in front of us” film series, which, in association with Marfa Live Arts, celebrates women filmmakers. At the age of 85, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg has developed a lengthy legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But the unique personal journey of her rise to the nation’s highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans – until now. RBG explores Ginsburg’s life and career. The film, directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen with a crew entirely of women, is co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films and distributed by Magnolia Pictures. The screening is FREE to the public.
