BBCA receives $30,000 grant from Maxi Fuxjager Foundation

Alpine – The Big Bend Conservation Alliance (BBCA) is pleased to announce the receipt of a grant from the Maxi Fuxjager Foundation.

The $30,000 grant will go toward hiring an Executive Director for the organization.

Based in West Hurley, New York, the Maxi Fuxjager Foundation approached BBCA Board President, Trey Gerfers, directly about “the threats posed by development to Big Bend National Park and the region around the park”. The Foundation expressed interest in sustaining the work of the BBCA “for the foreseeable future” and awarded the grant on July 1st .

The Big Bend Conservation Alliance (BBCA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that works to conserve the living heritage and unique natural and cultural resources of the greater Big Bend region of Texas.
