Anniversary Mexican fiesta is Saturday

The Gage Hotel turns 91!

MARATHON – Since 1927, Marathon’s Gage Hotel has garnered fame as west Texas’ premier luxury destination offering guests and visitors remote respite, first-class dining experiences, and comfortable immersion in the area’s rugged and beautiful terrain. Renowned as the home of the last frontier and lauded as the gateway to Big Bend National Park, this year marks the 91st  anniversary of the historic Gage Hotel!

In celebration of this monumental event, the Gage Hotel is pleased to announce it will host an Anniversary Party in its beautiful Gage Gardens on Saturday, August 4 at 7pm. The event will offer guests a selection of authentically-curated Mexican food prepared by the 12 Gage Restaurant’s Executive Chef, Joe Rodriguez, in addition to festive street vendor style food.

“We’re so thrilled to invite guests and the community to indulge in creative Mexican cuisine, world-famous music, and a unique artisan shopping experience as a way of commemorating this historic birthday for the hotel.” said the Gage Hotel’s general manager, Carol Peterson.

Guests can peruse a selection of artisan-crafted, hand-made goods at the event’s on-site pop-up shops, while also enjoying the musical talents of the Grammy Award winning band Los Texmaniacs  during the event.

A portion of the proceeds from the Gage Hotel Anniversary party will benefit the Marathon Public Library.
