Ferguson, Rodriguez marry in Veracruz

Molly Glenn Ferguson and Miguel Rodriguez Vazquez were united in marriage at 4 pm on Saturday, July 28 at the San Nicholas de Bari Catholic Church in Nanchital, Veracruz, Mexico with Father Joel Ireta Munguia officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lucy Maria Ferguson and John William Ferguson of Presidio.  The bridegroom is the son of Rosa Elena Vazquez and Miguel Angel Rodriguez of Nanchital, Veracruz, Mexico.  

The bridesmaids were Iamhilex Fernandez and Dafne Rodriguez of Presidio, best friends of the bride;  and Rosalinda Rodriguez Vazquez, sister of the groom of Nanchital, Veracruz, Mexico.   

The Groomsmen were Luis Rodriguez Vazquez, brother of the groom and Luis Solano Lazaro, best friend of the groom both of Nanchital, Veracruz, Mexico; and Maxwell Ferguson, brother of the bride of Presidio.

Following the wedding, the reception was held in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico at the Saboga Salon where great local food and drink was served and music was played by the local band “Los Choclok”.   There was a surprise performance by “Mariachi Miranda” which was a gift from the groom to the bride.  The bride returned the favor by singing with the mariachi for her groom and guests.

After spending their honeymoon in various locations in the state of Veracruz, the couple will return to the Presidio/Ojinaga area where Molly will begin her first year as assistant band director at Presidio ISD and Miguel will be beginning a new business venture.
