Heritage group conference features talks on eminent domain, water

MARFA – The 29th annual conference and meeting of the membership of the Davis Mountains Trans-Pecos Heritage Association will be held at the First Christian Church in Marfa on Saturday September 8.

The conference will be held from 2-5pm and guest speakers will address issues of current interest to property owners, including water policy, eminent domain, and state and local fire policy.

To further the educational aspect of the conference, a question and answer session will be held after speakers complete their presentations.

The annual meeting of the membership will occur at the conclusion of the conference, followed by a social hour and dinner by Fuego y Fierro.
