Maurilio B. Sanchez, 72, of Presidio, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 in Odessa. Maurilio was born February 6, 1946 to Alfonso Sanchez Baeza and Magdalena Brito in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married the love of his life, Olivia Juarez on March 15, 1969 in Ojinaga.
Maurilio loved the ranch life but specialized working as a sheet metal worker in the insulation industry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Magdalena Sanchez, and a sister Magdalena Sanchez Brito.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Olivia Sanchez; two sons, Alfredo and wife Elvira Sanchez, Maurilio Sanchez; a daughter, Karmina and husband Eduardo Proaño; brothers Alfonso Sanchez Brito, Alfredo Sanchez Brito and Jesus Manuel Sanchez Brito; and sisters Angelica Sanchez Brito, Hildeliza Sanchez de Gonzalez, Luz Elena Sanchez de Anaya, Cristina Sanchez de Hernandez; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 9 with a Rosary, Mass on Monday, September 10, both at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio with Father Mike offi ciating. Burial was in Desert Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfredo Sanchez Sr., Maurilio Sanchez Jr., Alfredo Sanchez Jr., Fabian Sanchez and Eduardo Proaño and Miguel Angel Gardea Sr.
Arrangements were under the direction Martinez Funeral Home.
