PRESIDIO COUNTY – The Presidio County Appraisal District has mailed new property exemption forms to ensure that all Presidio County property owners take advantage of the exemptions.
Property owners may claim one homestead exemption, but there are others to take advantage of, too, including one for being age 65 and over, and several if you’re a military veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran and first responder.
Exemptions reduce or stabilize the values of properties, so they are a key to having on file.
The mass mailing was needed following the Ransomware attack on the district’s server earlier this year. If you haven’t received the form, or need assistance in filling them out, give the district a call at 432.229.3963, email to [email protected], or go by district offices in Presidio and Marfa.
