PRESIDIO- The Presidio Lady Blue Devils varsity cross country team were crowned district champions with 22 points this past weekend at the Paisano Baptist Encampment. This is the second consecutive year that the Lady Devils are district champ. Ivett Ramos was the district champion with a time of 15:11.02. Crystal Barriga finished in 2nd place with a time of 15:16.08. Daniela Valenzuela finished 4th with a time of 16:22.97. Judith Bustamante was 6th place with a time of 16:29.75. Andrea Navarrete finished in 9th place with a time of 16:37.72. Sofia Garcia was 20th with a time of 17:38.53. Emily Viramontes was 28th with a time of 18:27.36. The Lady Devils will be competing at the regional meet in Lubbock on October 22 for a chance to advance to the state meet in Round Rock. In addition, the JV girls were also district champions with 27 points. This is also the second year in a row as district champions for the jv girls.
