PRESIDIO – Pharmacist Mario Juarez announced this week that his Presidio Pharmacy’s last day of operation will be Friday, February 22.

“I thank the town of Presidio, I thank Presidio County Medical Clinic and the pharmacy staff,” Juarez said.

He added that this has been a very difficult business decision to make.

The Presidio Pharmacy has been in operation as a remote pharmacy since September 2015 and as a Class A pharmacy with a full-time pharmacist on site since March 2017.

Juarez said that patient records will be transferred to City Drug in Alpine.

Questions concerning patient’s records can be directed to City Drug in Alpine at 432-837-2252 beginning Monday, February 25. Juarez owns City Drug in Alpine and Baggett Pharmacy in Fort Stockton.

His parents were the late Rene Juarez and Eva Soza Juarez, both Presidio natives.
