Geometry teacher Mr. Taro Gutierrez is Teacher of the Month

Presidio High School Geometry teacher Taro Gutierrez is the Teacher of the Month.

Originally from Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, he attended Sul Ross State University and New Mexico State University where he obtained his master’s degree in accountancy. He obtained his teacher certification through Sul Ross State University teacher preparation program.

Currently he is pursuing a master’s degree in Education Leadership from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin or UTPB. He will complete the program this coming September and one of his goals is to become a school administrator. Mr. Gutierrez was a Math teacher at Lucy Rede Franco Middle School and currently is teaching Algebra and Geometry at Presidio High School. He’s been teaching for 16 years now in the PISD district.

He is a very dedicated educator/he begins his class promptly and in a well-organized way.

He has deep knowledge and passion for his subject matter and he-has the ability to build caring relationships with students. He has a good sense of humor and high expectations for all of his students and he enjoys teaching
