KERMIT – Presidio Lady Devils took the win with a score of 9-3 against district opponent Kermit Yellow Jackets last Friday in Kermit.
The Lady Devils put pressure with doubles by Crystal Barriga and Alejandra Proaño, and a single by Aileen Hernandez making the score 5-0 in the fourth inning.
Sophomore Crystal Barriga pitched a great seven innings, allowing only three runs on six hits and striking out seven players.
The Lady Devils collected 13 hits. Crystal Barriga, Alondra Proaño, Alejandra Proaño, and Alexa Pando all had multiple hits for the Lady Devils.
Andrea Navarrete lead the team with four stolen bases. In total the team stole 11 bases.
