Roberto “Beto” Garcia

Robert Garcia died March 11, 2021, in his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born August 13, 1930, in Fort D.A. Russell Hospital in Camp Marfa. He was the son of Bernadino Garcia and Jesusita Molinar. He was married to Rosa “Rosie” Elidia Moralez on November 6, 1960.

He is survived by his wife Rosie Garcia; his brother and sisters Catalina “Kate” Wright, Socorro “Cocoy” Munoz (Paul), and Victor Garcia; his children Robert “Bobby” Garcia Jr. (Christy), Rita Marie Garcia, Ruben Garcia (Sonya), and Rose Belen “Bee” Garcia (Oscar); his 14 grandchildren; his 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. He will also be greatly missed by his partners in crime, his dogs Peanut and Hobo.

He was preceded in death by his father Bernardino and his mother Jesusita; and his sister, Estella Villarreal, and brother, Oscar Garcia.
