Marfa girls basketball team falls short in first round of playoffs

Marfa’s girls basketball team faced a tough challenge in the first round of the playoffs on Monday night against Buena Vista, ultimately falling short despite a valiant effort. While the Lady Horns managed to keep the game close in the first quarter, they encountered difficulties in advancing the ball against BV’s full-court press.

Leading the scoring efforts for Marfa were Maryfer Martinez (9 points) and Ava Flores (7 points), and Raven Martinez (6 points) and leading rebounder for Marfa was Liani Salcido. Despite their best efforts, the team was unable to secure the victory, bringing their playoff run to an end.
