Howls from
your mic check
turn the chatter
down low

And an orange capped
jam partner
The clatter from
Your harp rack
Changing notes
In the mic –
Best sound
Of the night
Yips like Vile
But less self-indulgent
Dogs runnin’ –
decoys for conversation
The pink jacket comes off
Smells like HAY
“This kid is good.
He’s the real deal.”
“What are you writin’ about?!”
