ALPINE — The Big Bend Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will hold its spring plant sale in Alpine on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Forever West Texas Realty, Ave. E and 8 th St. The sale will feature plants native to the Trans-Pecos as well as other plants that work well in the tri-county landscapes
Hoven Riley, owner of Big Bend Yucca near Ft. Stockton, will also be selling large yuccas and other West Texas desert plants as he did last year.
This is the annual opportunity to purchase plants that will support the birds and insects of our area and create beautiful and lasting landscapes for Trans-Pecos gardeners. The profits are used to support graduate students studying native plants in Texas colleges and universities.
The sale is cash or check only. A list of the available plants can be found at npsot.org.
