Robert “Bob/Bobby” Lewis Dawson passed away on May 1, 2024, in Terlingua, Texas.
Robert was born on April 24, 1956, to William and Geraldine Dawson in Pennsylvania. Robert enlisted in the Army at the tail end of the Vietnam war, spending much of his military career in Germany. He went on to become a mechanic, and “if it was broke, he fixed it.” He ventured in programming, rock hunting and art, especially drawing.
Robert was predeceased by his father, William, and his stepson, Ryan.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynnette Dawson; his mother, Geraldine; his brothers, Bill and Craig; and his sisters, Cindy and Carolyn.
He leaves behind a legacy through his children Nicholas, Brandy, Donna, Anne, Sarah and Rebeka; his stepsons, Christian and Mike; his stepdaughter, Stephanie; his “adopted” daughter, Melanie Waters; and numerous grandchildren.
A celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine, Texas.
