Anita O. Losoya, born on August 28, 1945, in Alpine, Texas, bid farewell to this world on June 6, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Anita earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sul Ross State University. She continued to broaden her horizons by enrolling in business courses, post-graduation.
One of Anita’s proudest accomplishments was the refurbishment of a colonel’s home in Fort Davis, Texas. Her attention to detail and creative flair breathed new life into the historic residence, leaving a lasting mark on the community and showcasing her talent for restoration.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Anita found joy in simple pleasures. She liked cats, was interested in genealogy and antiques. Anita’s love for reading earned her the title of a bookworm, diving into books of all sorts. Gardening also held a special place in her heart, nurturing plants and flowers with care and tenderness.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents Abel and Anita Losoya and her brother Leonel Losoya.
As Anita embarks on her final journey, she leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured by her siblings Lola Rios, Abel Losoya, Ruben Losoya, Joe Losoya and several nieces and nephews.
Anita O. Losoya will be fondly remembered by family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
Services will be held for Anita at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, Texas, July 20, starting with visitation at 9 a.m., a Rosary at 10 a.m. and a memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment is to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery.Services for Anita O.
