MARFA –– How much stuff can you stuff? The Marfa and Presidio County Museum Thrift Store will hold a “bag sale” through Saturday — all the ladies tops and pants you can fit in a small garbage bag for $5.
Sales are cash only, and all sales benefit keeping the Marfa and Presidio County Museum open seven days a week. The thrift store is open 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays in the Marfa Activity Center (MAC) building, south of Coffield Park between Ridge Street and Mesa Street.
Volunteers remind area residents that the store accepts donations of items but only when the store is open. Donations left outside get ruined in the rain, scattered in the wind, faded in the sun and pillaged by some people before they get sorted and sold in the store.
