I just read about the Dollar General store and the minority that are concerned do not have to order food delivered or pay someone to get it from Alpine. I am a 24/7 caregiver for my husband and senior animals. Leaving my property just to go to the bank in Terlingua is complicated.
The only thing better than a Dollar General would be a dentist. I cannot purchase meat and other items from local stores as I can not afford it, so I do without.
If I had land where they wanted I would have donated it. I will be the first of many through the doors on opening day. Thank god for small things like a Dollar General. Change sucks, but some things are needed.
