ALPINE — Midland nonprofit Permian Basin Gifts of Hope will host a day for all cancer survivors to celebrate their journeys and has partnered with local Alpine business Scoops Coffee & Pastries to host a celebration event for cancer fighters, survivors and their families.

Gifts of Hope Executive Director Clint Dickson said, “This event is a way for cancer

fighter and survivors to connect with one another, but also celebrate their fight with their families. We also want to let everyone in the tri-county area to know they have a resource

should they ever receive the devastating diagnosis of cancer.”

The event will be held at Scoops Coffee & Pastries, 106 Sul Ross in Alpine on August

11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a local cancer survivor sharing her journey, refreshments,
