FORT DAVIS — The Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens invites you to the dedication of their newest exhibit featuring Native Grasses of the Chihuahuan Desert. The dedication will take place on Saturday, September 14, at 9:30 a.m.
Starting off at the Powell Visitor Center, the event will be led by Jim Martinez, Board President, and Faith Hille Dishron, Head Gardener. They will guide visitors through the exhibit that showcases 26 out of the 268 native grass species found in the Trans Pecos Region. The exhibit aims to educate visitors about the aesthetic value of grasses and the significance of preserving and maintaining native grasses and grasslands.
