PRESIDIO — The Presidio Trading Post restaurant will host the Ninth Annual River Run — a caravan of sorts, with motorcycles, jeeps and all manner of vehicles roaring off to Terlingua on HIghway 170 (River Road) before returning to the Post for festivities. Participants play a poker hand at various stops along the way, and the event celebrates Mexican Independence Day, Diez y Seis de Septiembre.

Breakfast and registration is at 8 a.m. at the Post, 1412 Park Valley Ave (Highway 170) in Presidio, with the last entry leaving the Post at 10 a.m. Participants return for a fiesta anytime from 5 p.m. to midnight. Registration is $25, which includes breakfast, dinner and $20 put into the poker pot.
