Music series continues
La Lom, or Los Angeles League of Musicians, took the stage on September 15 at The Capri in Marfa for a wild mix of cumbia, soul ballads and rock — paying homage to much of the ‘50s and ‘60s music from Los Angeles. The Los Angeles friends have been playing together in the L.A music scene since they were teenagers.
Ballroom Marfa’s series continues on Saturday at the Capri with Tim Bernardes — with Jess Williamson and Sam Walker set for November 30. Bernardes, based in Brazil, is a Latin Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Ballroom Marfa describes his music as: “Elements of choral mysticism, sparkling instrumentation and Bernardes’ haunting voice come together in a transcendent sonic experience.”
