Cynthia Leigh Corder
12/30/1958 – 12/13/2023
Cynthia “Cindy” Leigh Corder, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, left us on December 13, 2023, at the age of 64.
Cindy grew up in Marfa and moved to Los Fresnos where she graduated high school and married. In later years she lived in Austin, Yuma and Spring Branch. Cindy was passionate about bowling, Mexican food, cooking, gardening, the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.
She dearly loved her dog, Romeo, and adult children, Emi Wilson (Trey) of San Antonio, Michael Trevino (Christina) of Georgetown, and Shawn Trevino (Patsy) of Bastrop. Cindy lived life on her terms, and will be remembered for her uncompromising independence, deep faith, incredible Thanksgiving recipes and constant yearning for more time with family.
In addition to her children, Cindy is survived by grandsons Troy Weaver and Gabriel Trevino, granddaughter Juliana Trevino and great-grandson Kayden Weaver. Cindy’s ashes, together with those of her parents, L. Gene and Bill Lu Corder, and brother, James Corder, will be spread on November 2 in the Marfa Cemetery. Genesis 3:19
