TRI-COUNTY — It has been a busy week for animal rescue in West Texas. Several dogs and the majority of cats from the Alpine Animal Services Shelter are on their way to their next adventure at other rescues and a better chance of adoption in Spokane, Washington, and other cities around the country thanks to One Tail at a Time West TX — a nonprofit with a mission to end pet homelessness.
Alpine Animal Services and One Tail at a Time West TX also want to remind people that these transports cost a lot of time, money and resources to accomplish. A better option would be to keep your animals contained, or if they have to be rehomed, resources are available to keep the animals out of the shelter.
Animal Services also gives thanks to Lori and Bernardo for driving the dogs through the night to catch their flight out of El Paso. Both organizations are offering adoptions and seeking donations and volunteer help. Visit https://otatwtx.org/ and the City of Alpine Animal Services for more information.
