MARFA — Calling all ghouls, goblins and gremlins — the library’s annual Halloween costume contest and party returns Thursday, October 31, in the library courtyard.
Registration starts at 4:30 p.m., and judging starts promptly at 5 p.m. The whole shebang ends by 6 p.m. so everyone can trick or treat.
A spooktacular panel of judges will give prizes for the funniest, scariest and best homemade
costumes in each age group. The contest’s age categories are 0 to 4; 5 to 8; 9 to 12; 13 to 17;
and the adult/group.
Lindsay Smith and Adam Boyd of Bitter Sugar will serve as MCs. The party, hosted by the Friends of the Marfa Public Library, is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments, games, spooky tunes and eerie-sistible vibes, plus everyone who participates will receive a goody bag (and a devilishly good time).
