It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Ann Smith on November 22, 2024, after a multi-year battle with cancer.
Beloved wife, mother, sister and grandma, Susan was a strong, remarkable woman and a dear friend to many. Susan grew up in a military family with many of her childhood years spent abroad in places like Guam, Panama and the Philippines. She fell in love with and married her first and only sweetheart, Raymon John Smith, and together they raised a family.
Susan held an associates degree, enjoyed books, puzzles and painting, and proudly served as a soldier in the U.S. Army. When the time came, Susan and John retired in the beautiful desert mountains of Fort Davis, where they have resided for over 25 years. Susan is survived by her husband, children, siblings and beloved dogs. She will forever be in our hearts.
