
Graciela Carrasco Lujan Manriquez, 75, of Pecos, Texas passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, peacefully at home, hand and hand with her beloved husband of 56 years, Nicolas Manriquez. Graciela was born on March 24, 1949, in La Esmeralda, Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Reyes and Antonia Carrasco.
She married Nicolas Manriquez of Presidio, Texas on February 16th, 1969, in Alpine, Texas. They moved to their forever home in Pecos, TX, in September of 1990, after living in Presidio and Alpine. Graciela was a homemaker. She loved gardening, cooking, and baking, devoting her life to feeding her family, spending countless hours outside in her yard, tending to all her chickens, plants and flowers.
Graciela is preceded by her siblings, Del Fina, Luis, Carlos, Luiso, Socorro, Anita, Jose, and Aurelio.
She is survived by three siblings, Elvia (Mario), Maria (Alberto) and Isidro (Olga). Husband, Nicolas Manriquez, and three children, Haydee (Michael) Davies, Graciela (Efrain) Soza, and Nicolas (Amanda) Manriquez. Grandchildren: Alexandra (Brett), Sherezada (William), Valerie, Efrain (Jasmine), Pauline (Jesus), Manual (Kimberly), Natalie and Cooper. Great grandchildren: Westen, Calum, Haylee, Declan, Efrain IV, Brooklyn, Glory’ana, Armani, Emily, Jesus, Melody, Ariana, Manuel, Asher, and Easton.
Family and friends were invited to attend the Rosary on Friday, December 27th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Shafter, Texas.
Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Shafter with Father Mike officiating. Burial services will follow at Shafter Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
