Presidio Library to celebrate Dr. Seuss Day
PRESIDIO –– The Presidio Public Library will be celebrating the life of Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel — better known as “Dr. Seuss” — on Thursday, March 6. The late author’s 121st birthday celebration will include a reading of his classic Green Eggs and Ham. Seuss lovers can go to the library at 5 p.m. for the party, which will end when the library closes at 6 p.m.
Big Bend Conservation Alliance hosts lineup of free spring break activities
PRESIDIO –– Next week, the Big Bend Conservation Alliance will host free spring break activities for all ages. On Tuesday, March 11, participants can explore rock painting, and on Wednesday, March 12, they can experiment with watercolors. Your imagination is the limit with a crafting session on Thursday, March 13. All sessions will be held at the Presidio Public Library between 11 a.m. and noon, and will contain information about growing your own garden.
