TRI-COUNTY — The second issue of the local zine series sparselands is now available online and at select locations in Alpine. sparselands celebrates the beauty of the Big Bend region of the Chihuahuan Desert through ecological and environmental explorations.
This new issue dives into the global and local forces that drive climate — the long-term patterns of weather — in the Big Bend region. It includes insights on seasonal weather shifts, atmospheric patterns, monsoon season, drought, and more.
