This season we are introducing a new format for our open studio program to showcase our local artists. Each artist has a dedicated window of time with the intention to bring a more focused attention to the studio host and to offer an easier navigation for the visitors.
Also, this setup allows our artists to go to each other’s open studio. We discovered that there were some artists who have known about an artist but have not yet met in person. We believe that this new format allows for more freedom to meet other artists and show up for support as to cultivate friends with each other.
We also will hold our second sculpture garden at Lannan Park in Marfa with an opening party. There will be poetry reading, music, sound scapes and refreshing beverages. Come meet the local artists, see and hear their art, and drink it all in on Thursday, May 15, 5 to 7 p.m.
