PRESIDIO COUNTY — On Wednesday, Presidio County Commissioners voted to accept requests for proposals to lease the “Bull Barn,” a structure that hasn’t been used in more than a decade occupying land south of Vizcaino Park off of Golf Course Road.
The building was formerly used for Highland Hereford Breeders Association bull sales that ceased many years ago. Officials have proposed that someone may want to renovate the building to hold events. “If someone can use it and make it more attractive, we should give them the opportunity,” said County Judge Joe Portillo.
Commissioners will look at sealed bids in September. RFP packets can be obtained by contacting the county attorney at countyattorney@co.presidio.tx.us, with a 10 a.m., June 20, deadline for submission.
