Ricardo “Ricky” Granado, 56, of El Paso, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, and was reunited with his mother, Enedina Salgado Granado, who passed away on August 4th, 2024; his maternal grandparents, Abigail and Tomas Salgado, and his paternal grandmother, Martha Granado.

Ricky was born on March 8th, 1969, to Raymundo and Enedina Granado. That same year, he and his family moved from Presidio to El Paso. Ricky attended Le Barron Park Elementary and Valley View Jr. High School. His hobbies were fishing, putting together models of World War II military tanks, ships and airplanes. He enjoyed listening to hard rock metal music and driving his 1987 Chevy Silverado truck. One of his other hobbies was gardening and landscaping his parent’s home, which was admired by all visitors and passersby. Ricky was a member of the Catholic Church. He had a warm heart, was soft spoken and witty.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Raymundo Granado Sr.; his sister, Angie Granado Ruiz; his brother, Ray “Tito” Granado Jr.; his niece, Alexia Samaniego; four great nieces and nephews, all from El Paso; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from Marfa; Ojinaga, Chihuahua; San Angelo; Kyle; Meadowlakes; Buchannan Dam; Edinburgh; and El Paso.

Ricky will be missed dearly and will remain in our hearts forever—Vaya con Dios.
